Creative Strategy & Process
The defining parameter of this project was speed. This was a true one-week sprint from receiving the briefing to final multi-format delivery. When you are moving that fast, you cannot afford to overcomplicate the scene file.
My strategy was to use a bright, festive pink studio layout that instantly screamed Valentine's Day. I focused the motion design on a dynamic, spinning reveal of the product textures and the gift box. By utilizing a clean background with stylized, floating 3D elements, I kept the render times fast and the hierarchy clear, ensuring that the product names and textual callouts had maximum legibility for viewers passing by quickly.
Technical Execution
This campaign was built in Cinema 4D and rendered using Octane. To keep production moving fast under a tight deadline, I projected the brand's original packaging textures directly onto the 3D models. This ensured all the print details and legal text matched the physical product perfectly without needing a lengthy texture painting phase.
The look development leaned heavily on soft studio lighting to emphasize the gold accents of the mascara container and the rich tones of the make-up tube. By keeping the pipeline lean and clean, the files remained incredibly flexible. I was able to swiftly reformat the exact same assets from wide 16:9 metro billboards to vertical 9:16 crops for social media channels, ensuring zero visual compromise across formats.
Outcome
The entire campaign successfully went live across Germany for Valentine's week on Ströer’s nationwide DOOH networks, as well as on-site shopping mall screens at Rossmann and Müller. This rapid production sprint proved that speed doesn't require a compromise on quality. By maintaining a crisp, polished look across all platforms, the spot delivered a uniform brand experience from high-traffic city screens straight to the point of sale.
